Dichotomyc key with solutions (Italy)
Creating this key to lead pupils to recognize only the trees in their school garden, but it's not a universal tool. Pupils observed each tree and particularly their leaves ("foglia"in italian language) and in each step, they chose between two possibilities (example: is it needle-like or not? Is it simple or compound? etc...) At the end of the analysis they had to write the number that I've previously attached to the tree and that corresponded to a species (es: n. 1 was "Acer Campester"). Then they are making wood tags with the name of the species to attach to each tree.
