Project's flag - The students will also create a new European flag. Students will view the Spanish and Cypriot flags and use the designs plus anything else that has to do with the 2 countries to create a flag. The new flag will be the Spainocypriot flag!

Once all flags have been created a voting competition will occur for students to choose their favourite flag!

Procedure to voting for the students’ favourite Spanish Cypriot flag

Students from both schools created a combined Spanish Cypriot flag. The students looked at both countries’ flags and used the flags to create their own. Once all the flags were finished the top 10 from each country were selected. Two surveys were then created. The first survey was only for students to view the top 20 flags. The link to this survey is:

Once students used the above link to view the flags they selected their top 3 designs and went to this link to vote:

The results can be seen below. The voting first commenced in Spain and once all students in Spain voted (a total of 27) the survey link was given to Cypriot students. Once 27 Cypriot students had voted the survey was close to ensure that the exact same number of votes came from both countries!

The top 5 flags which can be seen using the first link above were flags 2, 3, 7, 11 and 18. Well done to all the students and congratulations to the students who designed these flags!

As there was a tie between the top 3 flags a second survey was created to choose a winning flag. Students were given the first link to see the flags once more and then asked to choose their favourite flag by following this link:http://https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7JMGDCP

Results from the second survey can be seen after the results below which refer to the first survey!

It was pleasing to see that a mixed group of students from grades 4, 5 and 6 took part in the voting competition! It was also pleasing to see that each flag had been voted for at least once!
