The first activity associated with the project began before the project's twinspace was opened and involved students choosing a name for our adopted dolphin from our previous project GRESCY!
The students will have all the prominence of this activity¡¡
Students was given a clue with a hidden question (see attached files) which they had to write the answer for. Once the students' answers were written, the top 10 names from Cyprus and Spain were selected by different teachers at both schools. Then an online survey was created with the help of www.surveymonkey.com
Students voted for their favourite dolphin name and as a result the name Delfi was selected!

Dolphin name survey
A total of 34 students from class 4 and 5 from both Spain and Cyprus voted to choose a name for the dolphin which we adopted but is now missing somewhere in Europe. Prior to voting students created and completed their own puzzles and came up with a variety of names. The top 10 names from each country were selected and the survey was created with the help of www.surveymonkey.com
Once the survey was created students were allowed to vote. Even though Midas, Bella and Splashy had 3 votes each it was Delfi which won the competition with an overwhelming 10 votes and therefore is the name given to our adopted dolphin! The students’ answers can be seen below.
