The project will start officially in January 2018, festive year in Japan. It will last till the end of the school year (June 2018).
A common work was done beforehand between the Polish and the French teacher. The classes started to search for resources for the project.
Planning
January :
- Exchange of New Year cards
- The pupils present themselves in English
- International pupils’ teams imagine a logo, pupils vote to choose the best.
February
- The pupils present their schools
- Preparing Hina-matsuri (making of the Dolls, cooking ?)
Discussing what we will do for that day
March
- The Hina-matsuri (Dolls’ Day – Japanese girls Day) - after March 3rd , as it is a Saturday
- Discussing the collaborative tale
- Writing Haïkus (in Polish and French) Sharing them.
April
- Preparing Tango no sekku (making of the class carps, cooking ?)
- Discussing the collaborative tale
May
- Tango no seku (Ancient Japanese Boys’ Day – Presently Children’s Day) after May 5th, as it is a Saturday
- Writing the common Japanese tale
June
- Finishing the tale and publishing it (ebook)
- Evaluations, exhibitions in the schools…
Every time a class discovers something about Japan, pupils presents it in the Japan pages and makes a mention of it on the project diary.
