Once upon a time, in Japan, in a deep wood, lived three ghosts.
The Lady-with-a-long-neck, the Chariot-of-fire and the Book-with-feet were preparing secretly their friend’s the Fox-with-nine-tails birthday party.
Nine little Bakedanuki were helping them.
But …
Poland :
Bakedanuki nie potrafiły upiec tortu urodzinowego, znależć świeczek, ani
kupić prezentów. Postanowili zrobić prezent z kwiatów, zrobić z lasu tort
urodzinowy i zrobić świece ze świetlików. Byli bardzo chętni do pracy
.Niestety …
Bakedanukis could not bake a birthday cake, find candles, or buy any gifts. They decided to make gifts from various leaves and forest flowers, prepare a birthday cake from forest fruit, and make candles from the fireflies. They were very eager to get to work ... Unfortunately…
Les petits Bakedanuki n'avaient pas de quoi faire un gâteau d’anniversaire, ils ne pouvaient trouver des bougies ni acheter de cadeaux…
Ils décidèrent de fabriquer les cadeaux à base de différentes feuilles et fleurs de la forêt, préparer le gâteau avec des fruits des bois et utiliser des lucioles en guise de bougie.
Ils étaient très impatients de se mettre au travail… Malheureusement …
France :
Malheureusement la dame-au-long-cou et le livre-à-pieds se disputaient car tous les deux voulaient être le chef cuisinier. La dame-au-long-cou expliquait qu’elle était une femme, et que c’étaient les femmes qui savaient le mieux faire de la pâtisserie. Le livre-à-pieds disait qu’il connaissait bien plus de recettes, puisqu’il en avait plein ses pages, et que c’était à lui d’être le chef.
Pendant que ses amis discutaient ainsi, le chariot-de-feu décida de faire lui-même le gâteau. Il prépara la pâte, mais alors qu’il cuisait le gâteau avec ses pattes de feu, il s’endormit et brûla tout ce qu’ils avaient mis de côté pour l’anniversaire du renard à neuf queues.
Il ne resta bientôt plus qu’un gros tas de cendres. Les trois fantômes furent pétrifiés d’horreur.
Unfortunately, the Lady-with-a-long-neck and the Book-with-feet were arguing. Both wanted to be the Chef. The Lady-with-a-long-neck explained that she was a woman, and women new better how to bake cakes. The Book-with-feet replied that he knew a lot more recipes, because he had many of them in his pages, and that he had to be the Chef.
While his friends were busy arguing, the Chariot-of-fire decided to bake the cake by himself. He prepared the pastry, but when he was heating the cake with his firepaws, he fell asleep and burned it and all the fruits, leaves and flowers they had collected on this occasion.
Soon, all that was left was a huge pile of ashes. The three ghosts were petrified of horror.

Bakedanuki, terrified of what happened, decided to take matters into their own hands.
With drops of dew, ash and tree resin, they made a magical mixture. When three ghosts were sprinkled with it, they stopped arguing and fell asleep peacefully.
At that time, little Bakedanuki made a birthday cake with forest fruits, they found candles and made a beautiful presents. When, the Lady-with-a-long-neck, the Book-with-feet, the Chariot-of-fire woke up, they did not remember anything that happened before.
Seeing a beautifully prepared birthday party, they invited the Fox-with-nine-tails…
The Fox’s with nine-tail birthday party was a great event. Everyone had a great time. They danced, ate the birthaday cake and they laughed a lot. The
Fox with nine-tails liked the presents very much. It was a really uforgettable birthaday party…
Bakedanuki przerażone tym, co się stało postanowiły wziąć sprawę w swoje ręce. Z kropel rosy, popiołu i żywicy drzew zrobiły magiczną miksturę. Gdy pokropiły nią trzy duchy, te przestały się kłócić i spokojnie zasnęły. W tym czasie małe Bakedanuki upiekły tort urodzinowy z lesnych owoców, znalazły świeczki i zrobiły piękny prezent. Gdy, the Lady-with-a-long-neck, Book-with-feet, Chariot-of-fire obudziły się nie pamiętały nic z tego, co się wcześniej stało. Widząc pięknie przygotowane przyjęcie urodzinowe zaprosiły the Fox-with-nine-tails….
Les Bakedanuki, catastrophés par ce qu’il s’était passé, décidèrent de prendre les choses en main.
Avec des gouttes de rosée, de cendre et de résine, ils préparèrent une potion magique. Ils en aspergèrent les trois fantômes qui s’arrêtèrent aussitôt de se disputer et plongèrent dans un paisible sommeil.
Les Bakedanuki en profitèrent pour réaliser un gâteau avec des fruits de la forêt, ils trouvèrent des bougies et préparèrent de superbes présents. Quand la Femme-au-long-cou, le livre-à-pieds et le Chariot-de-feu se réveillèrent, ils avaient oublié tout ce qui s’était passé auparavant...
Apercevant ce splendide goûter d’anniversaire ils invitèrent sur-le-champ leur ami le Renard-à-neuf queues...

L’anniversaire du Renard-à-neuf-queues fut très réussi. Tout le monde passa un excellent moment. Ils dansèrent, mangèrent le gâteau et rirent beaucoup. Le Renard-à-neuf-queues apprécia beaucoup ses cadeaux. Cet anniversaire resta longtemps dans tous les esprits.

Dawno, dawno temu w Japonii był dom w lesie, w którym mieszkały trzy duchy: pani z długą szyją, rydwan ognia i książka ze stopami.
Chcieli oni przygotowć przyjęcie dla przyjaciela - dziewięcioogoniastego lisa. Dziewięciu Bakedanukis pomagało w przygotowaniach, ale nie potrafiło upiec tortu urodzinowego, znaleźć świeczek, ani kupić prezentów. Postanowili zrobić prezent z kwiatów, z owoców leśnych tort urodzinowy a świece przygotować ze świetlików. Byli bardzo chętni do pracy. Niestety …
Niestety, Lady-with-a-long-neck i Book-with-feet kłóciły się. Obaj chcieli być szefami kuchni. Lady-with-a-long-neck wyjaśniła, że jest kobietą, a kobiety mają lepiej znaja się na pieczeniu ciast. The Book-with-feet odpowiedział, że zna dużo więcej przepisów, ponieważ miał ich wiele na swoich stronach i że musiał być szefem kuchni.
Podczas gdy jego przyjaciele byli zajęci kłótniami, Rydwan ognia postanowił sam upiec ciasto. Przygotował ciasto, ale kiedy podgrzewał ciasto swymi ognistymi łapami, zasnął i spalił je oraz wszystkie owoce, liście i kwiaty, które zebrane zostały na urodzinową okazję.
Wkrótce pozostał już tylko ogromny stos popiołów. Trzy duchy były przerażone.
Bakedanuki widząc, co sie stało, postanowiły wziąć sprawę w swoje ręce.
Z kropel rosy, popiołu i żywicy drzew zrobiły magiczną miksturę. Gdy pokropiły nią trzy duchy, te przestały się kłócić i spokojnie zasnęły. W tym czasie małe Bakedanuki upiekły tort urodzinowy z leśnych owoców, znalazły świeczki i zrobiły piękny prezent. Gdy the Lady-with-a-long-neck, Book-with-feet, Chariot-of-fire obudziły się nie pamiętały nic z tego, co się wcześniej stało. Widząc pięknie przygotowane przyjęcie, urodzinowe zaprosiły przyjaciela the Fox-with-nine-tails.
Urodzinowe przyjęcie The fox with nine-tail było wspaniałe. Wszyscy świetnie się bawili,tańczyli, jedli tort urodzinowy i dużo się śmiali. A podarowane przez gości prezenty bardzo się lisowi podobały. A potem jeszcze długo w lesie wspominono te uroczystość…
