Induction and team building

  • Students were divided into groups and went on a guided tour of the hosting school. The Greek students acted as guides and visiting students had the chance to familiarize themselves with school premises and the way classes are held in Greece.

    Ice breaking activities: Students became acquainted with each other through 3 ice-breaking games. The activity is  considered  successful, as the average evaluation scores on the part of both teachers and students  produced an aggregate result of good 31% (50%) and excellent 50% (50%) respectively.

    Traditional Games: Greek, Italian and Turkish students presented traditional games of their countries and all the students participated in them. The activity is rendered successful, as the average evaluation scores on the part of both teachers and students  produced an aggregate result of good 18,8% (16,7%) and excellent 56,3% (66,7%) respectively.

    Learning a traditional Thrace dance (zonaradikos): Students were initially divided into 4 groups and were taught a traditional dance of Thrace by Greek students who acted as dance instructors. They eventually joined all the groups into one and danced together. The activity is is rendered successful, as the average evaluation scores on the part of both teachers and students produced an aggregate result of good 12,5% (66,7%) and excellent 75% (33,3%) respectively.  

    At the school auditorium students presented videos featuring their countries, hometowns and schools.
