Comments on film “Green gold”
This is the last short film of our “Time for a school film”. The students from 2a and 3d watched “Oro verde” (“Green gold”), a film about the hard work of women in the Tobacco fields of Salento, in the South-East of Italy, during the Fascist period. The main character and the narrative voice is a 12 years girl.Thedramatic moment of the short film is the attempted strike carried out by the employees of the factory against the violation of the rights, when the girl’s brother is killed. This event will affect the girl’s life forever. /Francesca De Ruggieri/

Comments on film “Razzista io?”
On 28th February, students of the class 3A watched “Razzista io?”, a short film made by our teacher Giuseppe Massarelli together with the students of the School “F. Netti” in Santeramo in Colle, near Bari.

Comments on film “Shoah”
Italian team prepared comments for the short film “Scioà” (“Shoah”), produced by a school of Ariano Irpino. The film deals with the Shoah and the Second World War and it aims at raising awareness of the horror of the Holocaust.

Comments on the film “All Fall Down”
On 16th February, the classes 2A e 3D watched the short film “Tutti giù per terra” (“All Fall Down”), made by students of the ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO MANCINI DI ARIANO IRPINO. The fìilm deals with the tragic experience of the earthquake that destroyed Irpinia (a region in the South of Italy) on 23rd November 1980.

This short film, made by a group of students of a school in Varese, deals with wrong eating habits among teenagers, which can lead not only to physical diseases (like obesity), but only to psychological problems, in that teenagers – if over-weight – struggle to accept their own body. Comment of the film about the brave Anna – Italy
The film tells the real story of Anna, a young girl who helped partisans during the Second World War in Italy and for this reason was hung up in her village by the German soldiers.
Anna was one of those people who, when called to make hard choices, are able to make right ones.

Italian comments on film about fight against the mafia
A new lesson for “Time for school film”. On the 18th of January, students from the class 2A watched the short film “L’appello” (The Roll Call), written and directed by Valerio Cicco together with pupils from Istituto Comprensivo Anzio 3 in Rome. This short film was made on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Capaci and Via D’Amelio bombings and it enabled our students to discuss about legality.

Comments for film “The Bullist”
The Bullist is a short film which deals with one of the most major issues for teens all over the world, bullying. The protagonist is Samuele, a misbehaving Italian boy who plays pranks and fights with his rule-following classmates at school.
He hates school and he assumes the attitude of a bully to provoke his friends, teachers and parents . Finally, thanks to his friends who are sympathetic with him and support and befriend him, Samuele changes his behaviour. He realizes that his classmates care about him so he doesn’t feel rejected anymore.
