Italy 2019

  • The last of the planned Transnational Project Meetings took place in ISS Leonardo da Vinci, Fiumicino, Italy from 3 to 5 June 2019 and it was attended by Dominika Sidor (project coordinator), Jerzy Witkowski, Jovita NavickienÄ—, Sigita ŠernaitÄ—, Eleonora Petrucci, Germana Catania, Marianna Barberio and Annarita Montani.

    During the meeting, the partners summed up the whole project.  On the first day, 2.06.2019, all the meeting participants were welcomed by the school principal, Ms Maria Antonietta Maucioni and the Transnational Project Meeting was held.  The coordinators from all project countries described all local and international activities that were held in their schools during the project.  During the conference there was a promotion of the project publishings, namely the Book of Math Exercises and the Book of the Lesson Plans.  The participants of the meeting were given the copies of the books. During the meeting the participants summed up the monitoring and evaluation and they assessed and evaluated all the activities realised within the project.

    On the second day of the meeting, 3.06.19 the participants had the opportunity to visit Orvieto and learn about the culture and traditions of Italy, admire the Gothic architecture of the cathedral as well as discover the mysteries of famous Orvieto’s Limestone Underground City.

    On the third day, 5.06.2019, the participants took part in the ceremony of granting the Scietific Award to the students of ISS Leonardo da Vinci. The students of the Italian partner presented their project works on Science.  During the meeting, which involved also the teachers from neighbouring schools, the results of the project Adventurous Maths and Science were presented.  The coordinators disseminated the project and showed the published materials.  After the festiwal, there was the time for evaluation of the meeting.  Teachers met with students who participated in the project Adventurous Maths and Science and shared their impressions about the results and impact of the project on schools, teachers and students.
