Poland 10.2017

  • The end of October was a busy time for coordinating teachers in our project. From 24 to 26 October a Transnational Project Meeting was held in the coordinating school in Wodzisław Śląski, Poland. The main goal of the meeting was to plan and organise the project work for the following school year which is the first year of the project.

Everything started on Tuesday morning with a meeting with the head of the Department of Education of the District of Wodzisław, Ms Katarzyna Zoellner - Solowska. We presented educational systems in our countries. Later our guests from Italy and Lithuania had the opportunity to visit the school with our students as well as the had a meeting with students involved in the project. The partner teachers observed Maths lesson on probability.  In the afternoon, we had a workshop on eTwinning conducted by Ms Anna Urbasik, an eTwinning Ambassador in the Province of Silesia.  We learnt how to work on Twinspace which is going to be our main working platform.

On Wednesday we started early in the morning with a visit to District Councelling Centre for Teachers in Wodzisław, a centre which cooperates with schools and other educational entities which enable them to organise conferences, couselling and offer help to teachers.  We had a walk around the centre and we talked to one of the advisors working at the Centre about how counselling looks in each of the partner countries.

Having arrived from the centre we participated in a project meeting during which we discussed and planned the following project year.  We decided upon the dissemination plan as well as monitoring and evaluation. We talked over all the responsibilities of the partners and a plan for the January visit in Italy was presented.

In the afternoon the teachers went to a boarder town Cieszyn where they could experience the variety of odf our region, Silesia.

On Thursday, the last day of the meeting we singed the agreements and did the evaluation of the project meeting.

The visit was a fruitful experience.  We are full of enthusiasm and we are happy that we can be a part of the Erasmus + experience.
