Our robotic collaborative game

  •

On this page you'll find our collaborative game using pictures from all the partner countries to create a robotic game used in all our schools.

Here is the mat for the robot game. Please print it as a poster (the squares are 15cm size to be suitable with bee bot and blue bot. Adapt it for Cubetto if necessary).

You need cards to play the game (Print them on A4 pages) :

    Here are the rules :

Make 2 piles of cards : cards for a touristic visit (with red colour around), cards for activities or shops (with blue colour around). Ask the pupils to pick up 2 red cards and 2 blue cards. The robot starts at the departure square and finish at the arrival square only stopping at the 4 places or activities on the cards as soon as possible you can use a timer or not ).

Who wants to play with us on skype ?

We would love it! Munich School

It would be lovely to play with you -  Marsaskala Primary, Malta

We are practising our game .... the first challenge is for the children to understand which cards means which box  :)  They are too young to read and so we have a matching game.

And this is our favourite card .... Philippa was so pleased to have her mother's salon included in the game  :)

This is fantastic Romina ! May I give you an advice ? Using the cards as a matching game can be interesting at the beginning. Then then discover the medicine card can match ith 2 different places (the turkish OR the german pharmacy) ! But don't let the cards to play because all the cards on the mat is confusing (they are too young)...

Here is how we played the game at school :

The chidren pick 2 blue cards and 2 red ones. They put their cards on the mat exactly as you did but only the 4 cards choosen. Then they try to find the shorter way for the beebot starting from the departure and landing on the arrival.

We put the cards in front of us in the best order. The beebot starts its journey going to the first place. When it is done, we turn the card over. So they know they'll have to go to the next one... When the beebot is at the last place, I say : it's not finished, the beebot has to go to the arrival to win !

    Hope that helps...

If your pupils can't find the shorter way, our pupils could help them as a team ... Murielle

We played with BeeBot. The children had fun with this game! They noticed quickly that each card color was related to a country, blue for France, green for Germany...

That was great to play with our french friends in Andernos! We loved it!
