Workshops for teachers - May/June 2017 in Poland

  • As part of the Erasmus project, on May 30 the teachers in Konopiska were trained in a workshop "Teachers' Burnout". 43 teachers participated in the training - specialists in various fields of education, at all educational levels. The meeting was hosted by the school teacher, MA Iwona Nadzieja. The training was divided into two parts. The first theoretical and informative, it brought closer the scale of the problem of professional burnout among Polish teachers. The teachers were familiarized with the mechanisms of burning out syndrome. Stress in teacher's work is a phenomenon that accompanies every day. The growing requirements, huge responsibility, problems related to the reform of education, cause that teachers are exposed to a lot of stress.

    On June 12, 2017 the second part of the training for teachers dedicated to the phenomenon of "burnout" took place.

    In the second part of practical training, teachers worked in groups. Mentioning the theoretical part, the participants of the meeting discussed the phenomena of stress and the influence of nervous tension on human health. During the classes, the teachers worked on improving the breath, which in stressful situations is an extremely important factor for our well-being. Participants of the meeting learned the secrets of proper breathing and relaxation every day. Teachers working with active methods learned the strengths and weaknesses of their personality. They used visualization and music therapy techniques.
