we present to you a new and alternative event, open to everyone. The Sustainable Fashion Day will take place at one of the best art venues in the North-East, Kommunity. The day will begin with a Clothes Swap and end with a unique and 1980s inspired Voguing show where we will display clothes and accessories that have been redesigned using old materials. Similar to Kommunity's night market, there will be small businesses such as Trendlistr and crafting workshops where you can re-style your 'swapped' clothes!Wildflower Creative Kitchen will also be open, with specialty Fashion Cocktails such as Cosmopolitans and Coco Chanel.

Eco Chic – The new fashion wave to hit Newcastle shores.
Fashion groups and alternative communities in Newcaastle and especially in the Ouseburn area are actively promoting Eco Fashion. The object is to recycle good quality clothes and "pimp" them up a bit, selling school promdresses and showcasing amazing local fashion designers.
The Eco-Chic Fashion Pop-Up putson fashion shows at the Foghorn Brewhouse. The brainchild of Rachel Prest, who brought Newcastle the Raid My Wardrobe phenomenon, Eco-Chic will feature upcycled and fair trade fashion at the cutting edge of sartorial style and sustainable living.
Set in the heart of Newcastle, in the beautifully renovated Art Deco industrial garage space of the Foghorn Brewhouse. The events provide a small boutique shopping experience, featuring eight exhibitors including Aware. The Social Design Project; Recycled Bags & Co; Hause of Glassborow and Akatonbo.
Yvonne Johnston, whose brand Aware. The Social Design Project was a part of Eco Chic’s inaugural event last year, said it was a “privilege” to be among the city’s eco and ethical design talent.
At its roots, Eco-Chic is about celebrating local makers and designers as well as the enormously supportive Newcastle community, but the sustainable fashion movement is gathering major momentum on a national and international basis.
