HOW WE WORKED "GO AWAY, BIG GREEN MONSTER"

1. Amazing monster flashcards.

1st and 2nd grade.We used them to learn and review colours and body parts. with these colourful monsters we play "Who am I?". A student describes a characteristic of one of the coloured monster "It has got a nose, two legs..." Look at how we work with the cards. 

                                   

3 years. Children make predicctions about colours, legs, eyes ...of the monster cards. Later they coloured many big monster poster and they decorated them, finally we used them to decorate their corridor.

2. Story time "Go away, big green monster" is a perfect story to work about feeling of fear. We read it with ·years, 1st and 2nd students. They enjoyed a lot with each part of the story now they are not scared.

3. Art projects

 *Monster masks. Children make their own masks using a template of the real big green monster but they choose different colours to paint them. They are going to use them in our Halloween party.

 *Complete your monster Students choose eyes and  mouth of monsters, they cut out and stick them on a paper. Later they have to complete the face of their monster. Nose, ears and hair have to be drawn and coloured to finish their faces. They made terrifyingmonster!! Click below to see them.

                                3 years                                                                                  2nd grade

                                      

 *Trick or treat candies.A small group of 3rd cycle students prepare some candies to hand up to the younger children in the halloween party. They fill a big pot with them and they recite some magic spaells.
