Hello, I'm Stanimira Valcheva - a history teacher from Bulgaria and I would like to share my experience with you.

Using LearningApps.org  turned out to be an interesting way to make students having fun and studying at the same time.

I make different tests and games with questions from my history lessons and use them for exercises during my history classes. Some of the students who usually say that it is too boring listening to the teacher and remembering some facts and concepts, names and dates started playing games like The Millionaire Game, Hangman,  Matching Pairs, Number Line. They became a bit more active, engaged an interested during the history classes. Some of them even said that was a very easy way to remember the “so difficult” facts and concepts, names and dates in history and showed better results during the tests and examinations.

I usually send them a link to make some exercises or give them a QR code of the game (it is automatically created by LearningApps.org). Using their smartphones the students can play these games … and study…and practice for history tests whenever and wherever they choose. Here are some tests and games I used with my students:

During  the partners  meeting  in Lisbon, Portugal in April 2017

many interesting ideas were shared by all the partners.

Ana Martin from Spain, a Biology teacher, shared the idea of using the game Kahoot! in her classes.

I liked it very much and began practicing it in my History classes right after coming the meeting in Portugal.

My students already love....studying  by  playing  Kahoot!

That's a very easy and funny way of making students memorize the many historical facts, persons and events!

That's a short example of a Kahoot Game with few questions about World War II .
