18. SPONSORING READING : Attending to our diversity and learning traditional stories from other countries

    Let´s keep all our resources in relation to our sponsoring activity on this page. Every country could include a short explanation how this activity was carried out in every school

    1. SPAIN GRACIANO ATIENZA

    In our school 400 pupils have participated in this activity. We have tried to read, understand the stories from our partners.

    The activity took place in different school sites buy mainly in the Library.  We read in pairs, big group etc and using different techniques

    (Kamishibai, pairs, small groups, using English, our mother tongue etc)

    2. ROMANIAN STORY: "THE CHARMING PRINCE AND THE GOLDEN APPLES".

    4th Grade read the Romanian Story "The Charming Prince and the Golden Apples" to 3rd Grace. We translated to Spanish to help students with more difficulties and after the activity, the children prepared a questionnaire to check the reading comprehension. Finally, peers drew their favourite part of The Charming Prince and the Golden Apples. They really enjoyed the activity!!!

     
     
     
    Three students from 4th grade are coming from Romania. They read the story "The Charming Prince and the Golden Apples" in their mother tongue to their Spanish peers. Thanks to Gabriela, as she passed the original story.
