    The PROCESS of writing the story

     

    WRITING THE BEGINNING by the CZECH STUDENTS

    STEP 1: The Czech students worked as a big national team in the IT room, used GOOGLE document and collaboratively created a table with the information about the grandparents (as they were written on the "trading cards"). Then we used the table ourselves when looking for the matches and also shared the table with our partners. The students wrote their proposals in the forums.

    STEP 2: The Czech students continued working on the task in an ordinary classroom (just with a few tablets so that we could look up some information in our twinspace). They worked on the story drafts - they wrote them in hand. All the drafts were typed on computer then and published in the form of GOOGLE slides. After that we read together all the contributions, corrected the mistakes and made improvements in the story.

    STEP 3: We chose three of the stories which we liked best and also which made the best opening and seemed easy to continue and develop the plot. The students worked in three teams and added details to the "beginnings" of stories. Please, see them below.

       

    STEP 4: In the end we read all three possible beginnings and voted which is best and would be sent to the Croatian / Greek patners so that they can continue. The story about František and Gerlinde won because the two grandparents have so much in common (love for animals, having a cat at home, gardening, cycling, ...). Now we are thrilled to know how our Greek friends will continue the story. Good luck!
