    of short term joint staff training “Exchange of best practice" (C5)

    06/06/2022

    All partners arrived in Pitesti city. Latvian and Estonian delegations arrived in Bucharest airport, project coordinator Oana Botirca meets us at the airport and takes us to the hotel in Pitesti. North Macedonian delegation went by minibuss from Skopje to Pitesti.

     

    1st mobility day 07/06/2022

    Then was short tour around school. We met different teachers, classes. We got an insight into the organization of the learning process and the preparation of documentation for the end of the school year.

    After lunch break teachers participated in open STEM lessons outside classrooms. We observe students practical work on Physics according teachers Visan Niculina and Matei Liviu prepared materials

    The last activity was presentation of local activities in each partner school.

     

    2nd  mobility day 08/06/2022

    The morning started with an official meeting with the Topoloveni city Mayor Gheorghita Botarca and representatives of Local Council. 

    We were introduced to the work of the city municipality, cooperation with residents, international cooperation: challenges and opportunities. There was a conversation about the responsibility of the municipality in solving educational issues.

    Also we visited Topoloveni Cathedral and Culture House and had Students performance on stage – Hobby Group artistic activities.

    After lunch break, we had workshop “Bringing nature into classroom” organized by Art teacher in Topoloveni Technological Secondary School.

     

    3rd mobility day 09/06/2022

    In an informal way, we got to know the nature, history, cultural heritage of Romania by participating in the activity “History lesson outside classroom”. The excursion led outside Arges county, across the Carpathian mountains to Transylvania, where we visited Bran Castle and Brasov. We visited various cultural and historical places that allow us to understand Romania's cultural history and unity with the common European cultural and historical space.

     

    4rd mobility day 10/06/2022

    Golesti Museum (the oldest school in the region, the Village museum) – getting to know Romainan cultural heritage. We were introduced to the beginnings of the educational process in Romania. Also introduced are the Soviet deportations in Romania, a historical tragedy caused by the communist regime. We also discussed today's suffering in Ukraine.

    Following decisions during the project coordinator meeting was made:

    1. Last project mobility (united teachers mobility and students mobility) will take place in North Macedonia from 26/09 – 30/06, with participation of 6 teachers and 6 students from each partner school. 

    2. During the activity in North Macedonia, Estonian partner will preset their state program about active breaks. 

    3. Lead partner will refresh questionnaire for students (the same questionnaire what was given at the beginning of project, only without questions about remote learning)

    4. Partner schools will do survey before last mobility

    Also we receive certificates and had farewell speeches and thanks.

    All teachers filled online evaluation forms after returning home.

    For 5 teachers this was first mobility. 

    Teachers admit that they improve practical skills, practice communication in English. Upgraded their  knowledge of school education systems in other countries and professional areas. Teachers admit the following impact from mobility: they will lead to the use of new methods/approaches/good practices at their school; Will lead to internationalisation of my school.

    93% of participants are very satisfied about training activities during mobility.

    From teachers' reports: “I really liked these Physics lessons, because of the practical hands-on learning method then I enjoyed how students came to chat with us teachers and of course, the cultural show was brilliant!”; “In the evening we had free time. We got to see Romanian culture and nature and the food was very good. The host were very lovely .”; “I met lots of new people, culture. The best part of the mobility was the meeting with the major of the Topoleveni. Very impressive was the performance of the students and Romanian national dances, also the way how the students are motivated to dance and sing or play music instruments.”
