From 14th to 18th March 2016 the visitors from Portugal, Italy, Romania, Great Britain and Finland were hosted by Polish teachers and students from LXV Liceum Ogólnokształacące z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi im. gen. Józefa Bema in Warsaw.
During these days all the teachers and pupils had the opportunity to participate in variety of activities connected with the idea of the project as well as activities which meant to integrate the teams better and to get to know our country, Poland.
On the first day of the mobility the headmaster of our school, Ms Malgorzata Puculek welcomed the guests at the school gym, where later on they participated in the lecture of Mr. Pawel Poncyljusz, the former Ministry of Economy, who gave a presentation on entrepreneurship in Poland. Mr. Poncyljusz explained the advantages and disadvantages of running your own business in Poland and he also briefly explained the history of entrepreneurship in Poland. After that the guests had the chance to watch the presentations of small entrepreneurs who not only presented their products and companies but also told the audience about the benefits and drawbacks of being a self-employed businessperson.
After the presentations, students and teachers had the chance to talk to the entrepreneurs and look at/buy their products.
Later on, the students were divided into two groups: one of them took part in the workshops on negotiations in business and the other one had the chance to show the presentations on their countries, then they swapped roles so that everybody could have a chance to participate in both activities.
On the second day, all the group visited the Neon Museum where they could listen to the lecture about history of Poland and Warsaw during the years of communism and see how the companies and institutions eagered to advertise their businesses with the use of neons, the symbol of western advert. They also the chance to visit the Old Town of Warsaw and spend some time in the Wedel's Chocolate Shop where the students listened to the short history of the oldest Polish Chocolate Factory and they could decorate their own chocolate cakes.
On the third day the group visited the Polish Jews' Museum (POLIN) where they learnt about the history of Jews in Poland, later they had the chance to visit the Library of University of Warsaw and The Museum of Science “Copernicus”. In all of these place students could both learn something about the history, use their creativity and spend great time together.
The fourth day was a day spent outside Warsaw – all the group had the opportunity to visit local entrepreneurships: a small company which produces apple juices, a cold meat production business and flax oil company. At the last place the students participated in the lecture by the representatives of Mazovia Province who told their guests about the brand products of our area, as well as the significance of local and traditional companies and their prospects for the future development. After the lecture and student had a picnic during which they could listen to Polish music and taste local products.
On the last day of the mobility the students and teachers took part in the School Day Ceremony, all of them said good bye to each other and the fifth day of the visit came to an end. It was an intensive time but also very fruitful and informative. Both students and teachers learnt about each other and their countries a lot, they could view the idea of running a business from different perspectives and we hope this mobility as well as the other ones can inspire them to start their own businesses in the future.
ITALY
In realtà po' incoscienti rispetto a quello che avremmo visitato siamo partiti alla volta di Cluj-Napoca la notte di sabato otto ottobre. Sapevamo poche cose:
a) che era la seconda città della Romania;
b)che saremmo stati impegnati nello scambio culturale e nel progetto sullo sviluppo delle competenze imprenditoriali con Erasmus che la scuola porta avanti da qualche anno con altre nazioni Europee (Polonia, Inghilterra, Finlandia, Portogallo e Romania)
c)e chissà, intanto partiamo, poi si vedrà...
Siamo partiti, dunque sì pronti con tutto il materiale di lavoro e per la realizzazione del compito assegnatoci (fondare un'attività di business, ciascuna Nazione ha spiegato le proprie legislazioni, spese e regole per mettere in piedi uno shop online per vendere dei prodotti ecologici e di riciclo) ma ripeto, poco preparati su ciò che ci avrebbe accolto.
Cluj-Napoca è la capitale della Transilvania ed è stata la capitale Europea dei Giovani nel 2015. Una città dinamica, culturale, d'affari, universitaria, molto verde e a vocazione sportiva. La scuola che ci ha accolti è un Istituto Tecnico che collabora con le aziende locali e che vede i propri alunni accolti per metà anno scolastico all'interno di queste aziende per svolgere attività di stage. L'Istituto Mattei aveva sei alunni coinvolti in questo Progetto, tre dei quali sono stati ospiti in famiglie degli studenti romeni. Durante la settimana siamo stati coinvolti in attività molto interessanti (come creare un sito online, visita ad azienda di coltivazione di lavanda e trasformazione della stessa, visita ad un'azienda vitivinicola e agrituristica che produce e vende vini e siamo stati coinvolti in attività di creatività e lavorazione di ceramiche, pittura e ricamo). Le visite culturali anch'esse molto piacevoli (Tour della città, delle sue chiese, dei musei, degli spazi verdi pieni di campi sportivi di ogni tipo e con attrezzature da palestra a cielo aperto, la statua di San Giorgio, il bastione dei Sarti, la grotta e miniera del Sale a Turda, ci siamo ritrovati a 120 metri sotto Terra in men che non si dica, il Museo Etnografico, il monastero di San Nicula a Gherla al cui interno è conservata la Madonna delle Lacrime e il Giardino Botanico).
Torniamo indietro, a casa nostra, dopo una settimana di lavoro, gite e attività di collaborazioni e conoscenza con gli altri studenti delle altre Nazioni, con una serie di certezze:
a) la prima delle quali è che non si devono mai avere dei preconcetti;
b) la seconda è che torniamo a casa con la sicurezza che il Mondo è bello e che merita di essere visto, girato, vissuto e amato;
c) last but not least che la Romania è bella e che le persone che la abitano sono ospitali e calorose.
I progetti di scambio culturale sono una risorsa fondamentale per far crescere le persone, le relazioni con persone di culture diverse dalla nostra ci aiutano a migliorare e noi siamo tornati migliori!
