  • '' AGAINST THE STABILITY Increasing Psychological coronavirus PROJECTS WITHIN e_twınnıg '' is our shared articles in Turkey EBA distance education platform.

The COVID-19 infection caused by New Type of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) emerged in Wuhan, China in late December 2019. The highly contagious virus spread to the whole world, especially to Europe, in a short time (World Health Organization [WHO], 2020). In this process, suggestions made on the closure of educational institutions in order to reduce the spread of communicable diseases in society by breaking the important chains of transmission were taken into consideration (Wheeler, Erhart, & Jehn, 2010; Kawano & Kakehashi, 2015; De Luca, 2018). In this context, it has been decided to temporarily close schools, universities and other educational institutions in many countries in order to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Distance education means that the education reaches students web-based with the help of developing the internet technologies and computers (Newby, Stepich, Lehman & Russell, 2006).

As a quick solution to the crisis caused by COVID-19, schools being structured according to formal education have started to work rapidly to continue courses and programs with web-based distance education instead of face-to-face education, transitioning to emergency distance education (Gewin 2020; Lau, Yang, & Dasgupta, 2020).

Some Uncertainties which occur during epidemic periods, temporary and necessary changes or limitations in daily life make it inevitable for people to experience negative emotions. During this stressful process where you are at risk of coronavirus, some negative emotions which may be experienced arise: worry, fear, anxiety, frustration, anger, loneliness, despair.

One of the activities that can help to increase the students’ psychological resilience during the Coronavirus Outbreak Process is e-Twinning projects which offernew learning opportunities for students. E-Twinning Project “Christmas Safe From Covid 19” has provided students with the benefits of being more motivated in the lesson, getting to know different cultures by communicating with peers from the other schools or different countries, communicating in English as the foreign language, realizing that Web technologies can turn the  educational process into becoming much more effective and up -to-date.
