In this short-term exchange of students, we will be executing various creative and challanging activities as well as workshops that will foster mindfulness, positive self-esteem and self-worth. The aim of these activities will be to make the students realize that it is worth living, learning and working hard, as well as trying to make them feel pleased with what they have, who they are and what they do.
We will also present the results of international pre-mobility survey on HAPPINESS during the exchange. The students will stay with their host families in order to learn about Slovenian lifestyle and culture. They will attend lessons with Slovenian students to learn about Slovenian school system. The teachers will also attend classes in which Slovenian teachers will try to present different techniques and methods of fostering motivation, positive classroom atmosphere and students' eagerness to take an active part in the lessons. Visiting teachers will also be invited to execute lessons with Slovenian students. We will arrange an Erasmus+ Workshop Day, during which all the partner schools will present their schools and neighbourhoods and also choose the project's logo. The results of the STUDENTS' HAPPINESS SURVEY will be presented. The students will then work together in order to learn how to be happy with who they are and what they have. For this purpose, the Slovenian team will carry out different workshops, like HOW AM I SMART?, HAPPY MIND, HAPPY LIFE and POSITIVE COMMUNICATION. We will include some artistic workshops as well. In the afternoons, the students will be taken to different locations in order to learn about our town and to perform different team building activities (MARIBOR TREASURE HUNT, POHORJE ADVENTURE). For the farewell, our students are going to organise a SCHOOL DANCE, where the students will build new friendships in order to stay in contact also after the exchange.
We expect the students to learn about the Slovenian culture and thus learn to accept different lifestyle and maybe appreciate their own more, to learn about their own strengths, differences among people, to except others and themselves and to learn that it is ok to feel sad or inadequate at times.
