Our school is situated in the eastern part of Croatia in a village called Bilje.

Our school is a primary school with students  6-14 years old. We have 300 students and 50 members of staff, including teachers, expert associates and technical staff.

We are an Eco school and do a lot of different extra curricular activities. Also students learn three foreign languages- English, Hungarian and German. Besides obligatory subjects they have elective subjects like Information technology and Religion.

Only few kilometres from our school is a big nature park Kopački rit with beautiful nature and many species of plants and animals. We cooperate  with them on everyday basis.

Our school is very active in doing projects. Since 2013 we have done Comenius and then Erasmus + projects. We have been in 8 projects so far.

We have a project team of 10-15 teachers from different subjects (English, Croatian, Maths, ICT, Art, Religion, Science,students counselor) and they are all very willing and happy to participate in projects. Few of us have a certificate for project managers. 

Our head teacher encourages us to participate and join projects. She is very cooperative and supportive.

 Our school is well equiped with computers, projectors, laptops, tablets and Internet.

In our country there is a educational reform going on, and through that all the schools are equipped with laptops and tablets for students to use. This topic would be very good and useful for us.

Our children have limited exposure to those of other cultures on a regular basis and one of the main reasons for our participation in the project is to broaden their global understanding and tolerance and promote international citizenship.
