Students and teachers collaborated to send pictures with the traditional task Spanish people do the last month of the year. They also sent images of the landscape, Christmas decoration and traditional food on Christmas Eve
This is the traditional landscape of Extremadura with these three funny donkeys that where numerous and commonly used to work the land in the past, but nowadays are getting extinquised and it is difficult to see them.
In December, during the first long weekend people collect the olives as you can see in the videos and photos. Olive oil is a well-known and valuable product in Spain. One of the bases of Spanish agriculture.
Some people still slaughter pigs at home to provide the family with food for the whole year.
This is one of the beautiful cities in Extremadura: Cáceres.

SLOVENIA
It's been an unusual December for us becuse we have to stay home because of teh country's lockdown and because we've had snow. We certainly don't like the first reason, but we sure do the second. It rarely snows in Brda :)
A hundred year-old ornaments made from lace:
In our reagion, a typical christmas tree is made from common juniper. In the past, people would take the tree into the stables or the cellar after the decorations had been taken down, and lit its branches. When on fire, the tree emanates a pleasant smell. It was believed this ritual chased teh evil spirits away.
