Our secondary school, IES Alba Plata, is located in Fuente de Cantos, in the south of Extremadura, a region in the south west of Spain, boundering with Portugal and Andalusia. This centre receives students from this town, but also from three other villages: Calzadilla de los Barros, Bienvenida and Valencia del Ventoso. The school has about 460 students aged 12 to 18, 56 teachers and 9 administrative workers. Compulsory Secondary Education and Higher Education are the levels taught in our centre. Besides, vocational training related to manufacturing and assembling is also offered. The main motivation to join this project is to encourage the preservation of our culture and heritage by using the English language as the main tool to be shared with other European countries with more experience on Erasmus+ projects.
We have worked in a previous eTwinning project, but it’s the first time we work on an Erasmus+ project.
