At last, we began our adventure with Lego. We were really excited! The beginnings of cnstructing and programming the robots were not so easy for us :)
Using ready Lego projects, step by step, we constructed first robots according to the guidelines. At first, we tried an older version of Lego Mindstorm Education - NXT, then we used a more advanced version - EV3. Cooperating in groups, we helped each other to construct various parts of the next robots. We got to know a new program - Lego Digital Designer to present particular steps in constructing the robots. In this way we sent the instructions of building from Poland to Cyprus and vice-versa. Then we learnt how to program and steer the robots. Getting new skills was challenging but gave us a lot of satisfaction.
We are happy to present the results of the partners' work:
IN POLAND
Finally, we were ready to design robots of our own ideas.

PREPARING A MODEL OF A BUILDING SITE
OUR ROBOTS IN BUILDING INDUSTRY
IN CYPRUS
A competition about robotics lasting 5 weeks has been organized in the Cypriot school. The students taking part in the project are separated in six teams. Every week they have to achieve a goal and they are working for it on their free time.
The first week´s goal is to build the robot (instructor vehicle) and try to control it by using the Lego Commander application which have been downloaded on the students' smartphones.
This is a small sample of our work!

COLLABORATION
We used Lego Digital Designer to send instructions of constructing from Poland to Cyprus and vice-versa. We helped each other to find good solutions concerning the designing of robots.

ROBOTS DESIGNED IN GOLEMS
Buildo
The robot is used in building industry. It can carry a variety of materials and goods, such as bricks or sand. It has a lot of space in the middle. It has a capsule, which can put materials. The materials fall into the cone, so you can give a lot of stuff there. It has a rocket propulsion. It is fast, efficient and modern.

Building cube
The robot was designed to work in the building industry. It is in the shape of a flattened cube and inside there are all kinds of tools that are necessary in the building industry. On the sides it has got quick, half-round arms which allow it to perform different tasks at the construction site just in a few seconds. Despite its size, the robot can lift and build high and heavy buildings. It also has special sensors so that it knows when a particular building is poorly constructed and can check if it does not threaten people's lives. The robot will certainly facilitate the work of building companies as well as assure people’s safety.
