  • Introduction

    Welcome to the second Connecting EU newsletter. 

    T2 CAMPUS (https://t2-campus.be/ Genk, Belgium) was delighted to welcome 10 participants from our partner organisations.

    The mobility

    From 8 to 13 March 2020, 10 participants from Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany travelled to Genk (Belgium) to work in the Smart Innovative Factory (SIF).

    Monday

    The day started with a breakfast in the hostel.

    Monday morning a guided tour in the SIF.

    On Tuesday morning participants were introduced to the different workshops:

    3. OVERVIEW/IDENTIFICATION
    4. OVERVIEW/WEBSHOP/MANAGEMENT
    5. OVERVIEW/WEBSHOP/WEBSERVICES

    Each group used the 'European Digital Learning Situations' on BookWidgets (Interactive Learning), created by Connecting EU.

    The other themes (workshops) will be presented in the Belgium Mobility March 2020.

     

    Tuesday late afternoon, a cultural visit to the Thor-site:

    Thor Park, access to the smart world of today and tomorrow

    Strategically located business, technology and science park where renowned research institutions, start-ups, growth companies and global players in the energy sector, manufacturing industry and smart city applications come together.

    Thor Park’s mission? Contribute to the development and valorisation of smart, sustainable, circular and connected innovations by providing access to specialised ecosystems, the  oPEN Thor Living Lab, the regulatory sandbox for energy, infrastructure, partners and network.

    This statue adorns the entrance of the thor park:

    ‘Faith’ embodies a strong belief in the future and refers to the history of Genk.
