As stated in target 13.3 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it is important to ‘improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning’.

Sint-Paulusinstituut took the lead in raising awareness about climate change amongst the students of the participating schools. Therefore, in Belgium, the 5 chosen subtopics climate change (forests and woodlands, agriculture, water, industrial pollution and food waste) were introduced.

The focus of the meeting was inspiring the different delegations to take action for the climate.

• Raising awareness:  Our pictures on the different project topics
• Presentation of the different green actions at each of our schools
• Visiting a training centre for nature
• Dokano - sailing for clean water/plogging
• Workshops related to climate change
• Building airpipes to measure the air quality
