PANDEMIC AND ENVIRONMENT
Restrictive measures taken by authorities to control the coronavirus transmission, such as people isolation, travel restrictions, bussines lockdown and border closure, have reduced road traffic, flights and the activity of many factories. Although these necessary measures have caused deep negative economic and social impacts, they have also originated possitive effects on the environment: significant reductions in air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and better air quality levels.
