    The children told the following story: After a strong earthquake, the residents of the city called the fire department in 199 to rescue people and animals that had been trapped in the rubble.

    The creation began ... the students built the fire brigade, the cat, the cities. They made the earthquake, built the track and finally programming the fire truck. All missions were made in small groups. Fortunately, everything went well, the trapped were rescued and the injured were taken to the hospital! Finally good, all good!!!

        

                    

       

      

      

     

    Robbie learned at school about seismic protection measures. In the second mission, the children had to programming Robbie to follow the right pictures to get out of the house safetly.

    The children built Robbie, his house, the track and programmed him.

      

        

     

    22nd Kindergarten of keratsini.

    We started with the construction of a city. The children built the houses with different marterials: small plastic bricks, paper, wood, plasticine. They instal the houses around the roads and added people and trees.  

    After that, the built the fire truck which would help people after the earthquake.

     

    Then, the children started to discuss what happens to the buildings when an earthquake occurs. We started to compare the damages of a house, depending on the matterial it was constructed by. Either by paper, or wood or bricks. Also, what happens to a building when it is a one-storey or a multi-storey one. We pretended that an earthquake occured by shaking the table and we shaw the damages that were caused to the city.  

    Finally, we called 199 and the fire brigade arraved to put out the fire and save all the people that were in danger. 

     

     

    After that, the robot became the earthquake himself ! 

     

     

    The children constructed their city ...

     

    ... and among other buildings they made a house for the little bunny which would be destroyed by the earthquake.

     

    They programmed the robot and the earthquake started shaking the city...

    We tried to do the activities of our project with my students at home. My students watched the informative videos I sent via Eba and whatssapp.

    Together with their families, they built buildings with materials at home. Play dough, lego, small animals, sponge pieces, toothpicks, boiled chickpeas, and even Turkish delight..They made efforts to make the buildings resistant to earthquakes. They built sturdy shelters to protect our pets.They tried different ways and produced solutions. They learned by having fun.

     

    2nd Kindergarten school of Perama

    The students made a small city. A sudden eairthquake happened! A child was in the highest place of a building and needed help. Someone called the fire truck so as to save him! The fire truck started its road and finally came to the buiding where the child was and finally saved him!

    Students used first kids coding and robotics kit in order to create the scenarios.

     

    Also, our students had another idea and made a new cirquit. They contstructed a rescue airplane. A sudden earthquake happened. A child was running at the stairs and hit his leg. There were many pieces of bricks around him. People called the rescue airplane and the child went to the hospital.

     

    And what about Enceladus....he will cause an Earthquake and then he will demolish a house...

    Earth is in danger, an earthquake occured. She immidiatetly called 166 (for Greece)/ 112 (for Turkey) in order to call the fire brigade. Quake the fireman just arrived in order to rescue her!!!

     

    Moreover students experimented with lego we do kit...
