On Wednesday, the 18th of May, we made our way to Hamburg’s city lake Außenalster. Once we reached the boat rental by the lake, we were equipped with paddle boards and we were instructed on their use. Then, we made our way along the canals on our paddle boards and enjoyed both the activity and the wonderful views of nature, lakeside homes and different types of steam and sailing boats.

We were very lucky to have a sunny and warm day, so much so that many felt like jumping into the water for a swim. Such nice weather allowed us to witness and participate in one of Hamburg inhabitants’ favorite water sports.
