Overview of the project

eTwinpreneurs was planned to help our students develop entrepreneurial skills, which are so required in every field of the labour market. When we atrted working we were still at school and had all the tools and useful contacts which would have been necessary to implement the project at its best. We managed to organise the initial teachers’ meetings to decide the timetable and then we started with the personal presentations and webquests to find out information about the countries of the classes involved in the project. The students made a Kahoot game about Italy and met first the students from Tunisia and then their mates from Romania. The classes played and it was important for them to see each other. They better realized they were working together with mates from other schools, not just posting presentations on a portal. Then we started the activities that were more focused on the main theme of the project. The class joined a provincial project named “Talent scout” aimed at preparing students for their future entry into the labour market.
The class also met a group of young entrepreneurs, I Rudaroli, volunteers that collect waste in their village and surrounding areas, and try to raise awareness about environmental degradation and the urgent need to take action. The meeting was successful and motivated the students to start writing down in a shared file some ideas about changes that could be introduced at school if approved. In February the school was closed because of the medical emergency but the project went on and it was at this point that our students’ entrepreneurial spirit emerged and developed. Meeting for the students were organised, they connected and discussed about the current situation. They also decided to do something to help their peers but also people at large to stay positive and adopt safe and responsible behaviour during the quarantine. In international groups they collaborated, planned and made a video and a blog with videos and recipes to to try while confined at home and to make the quarantine tastier. Further meetings with young entrepreneurs were arranged as well.
In my opinion the most positive aspect of the project was the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the students and the fact they felt they were the real protagonists in this project. They made it grow and now they are proud of what they have managed to do.
Overall the goals set at the beginning of the project were reached despite adversity. During the quarantine the students brought out the best in them: they were resilient, collaborative, creative and flexible. It was not easy since we are in Lombardy, the region in Italy that was most affected by the epidemic. We had very dark days but meeting online gave the students the strength and energy to go on. Most of them just worked with their mobile phones because they didn't have other devices at home and anyway they managed. Stefania and I are proud of them!

In my opinion, the experience with eTwinpreneurs has been particularly fruitful.
The students had the opportunity to confront each other in an international context on a real topic that saw them protagonists in a delicate historical moment. They have shown that they have a strong business spirit, responding enthusiastically and participating in the teachers' proposals.
I am also responsible for the "TALENT SCOUT" project whose purpose was to fortify the students' personal initiative in a creative context similar to that of young start-ups. Given the proximity of the objectives of the two paths, we wanted to push the pupils to create connections between the two paths in order to broaden their perception of the opportunities also at an international level.
We also organized a meeting between the students and an association of young volunteers called I Rudaroli who on personal initiative began to clean the common spaces of our cities, and made people aware of the respect for the environment and the control of waste.
The students saw from the representatives of the association how it is possible to develop a large initiative from a simple idea and how in a short time they have involved other young people, who created other associations, institutions and even individual citizens.

Working on the project has been beneficial both for students and teachers. We started our work in "normal conditions" when the studens got to know each other, the working space and were brainstormed about the project idea and activities . Online meetings were organized to enable real exchange and set for ineratctions between all the partners engaging the students more for the later activities. For my students it was an opportunity to meet with international students for the first time. That was an opportunity for them to carry on the next planned activities that were mainly based on international collaboration.
The students took on the responsabilities of organizing events at school ( the school garden cleaning and planting campaign ) and moderating online events on google hangout. Lauching and managing an online capmaign in the times of the COVID19.
The campaign was an occasion for the students to develop their various entrepreneurial skills. The students organized themselves in teams (committees with leaders in each) ,here , some of them demonstrated leadership skills, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Above all the main goals of the project have been achieved despite the constraints of the situation that all the world went through.

As a new eTwinner , I discovered another way of teaching. I learned from the experience of my partners.
Applying active pedagogical methods and the way they affect their motivation to learn and work. For my students the project journey was fruitful and positive. They were part of an international project for the 1st time and they had the chance to communicate with other peers, plan, organize and moderate online meetings. This enabled them to become autonomous learners and developed their entrepreneurial competencies and skills in addition, their participation enabled them to be active members in their community whether at school or in the broader sense through the events and campaigns they organized.
In fact, our participation in the eTwinning project brought dynamics to our school life and other students from our school wanted to join our activities after seeing the atmosphere we work in.
