Analysing the results

  • You're going to work with your teacher on how to analyze the data and make sense of them.

    You'lll need that for the next step, communicating your conclusions in a scientific poster or scientific video.

    Although you all will receive more specific instructions and guidance from your teachers, here you have some general information you may find useful.

    1. CLEAN DATA

    Make sure you have got a neat and well ordered datasheet

    2. BASIC STATISTICS

    You will probably only need very basic statistics (calculating the mean, frequencies...).

    Check this link for some tips. There you have also suggestions for some basic statistical analyses.

     

    3. REPRESENTING DATA

    There are two main ways of summarizing your data for making them interpretable and understandable: tables and charts.

    Each of them is best suited for one purpose, and the same applies for different types of charts (pie chart, bar graph, histograms...)
