    Tøjhuset (The Clothes House)

Tøjhuset is a culture centre in Fredericia, approximately 12 km from Middelfart. It functions as both a concert hall and a showroom. Tøjhuset hosts both classical and modern musical arrangements, ranging from rock to jazz and blues to classical groups. It can accommodate an audience of 400 standing, and 200 seated, and can also accommodate a café style concert for an audience of 80. Tøjhuset hosts around 200 arrangements a year.

    History of Tøjhuset

Tøjhuset was built in 1853 by a German called Diedrich Hermann Krache as a sugar refinery. However within 2 years it was unable to make ends meet and was forced to close its doors. In 1862 the house was taken over by the military as a warehouse. It maintained this role until 1982.

In 1986 Tøjhuset was renovated and bought by a private company to be used as offices. 10 years later, the local council bought the building and converted it to being the concert hall and place of cultural events that it is today. The building is most often used by the Fredericia’s Union of Musicians, Fredericia Jazz Club. The Blues Club and local group that arranges theatre events, talks, and union events.

    Carmen Catering

Carmen Catering offers catering services. The birth of Carmen Catering goes back to 1997, when the company was founded by Argo Koppa and Margus Linkgreim. The necessary push for establishing the company came from a healthy dose of idealism and the desire to make the world a bit better. Namely, the two founders wanted to establish a catering service company that would not be the biggest or the most successful, but simply the best. Being the best means being flexible, listening to customers’ wishes and working with them, offering quality in terms of food, service as well as catering, and considering all the other thousands of details that are essential for planning an outstanding party and a delicious feast.
