     At the end of February, Lithuania will celebrate the festival of Shrovetide. This is a festival were people gather and try to ask the winter out in hopes of making spring come sooner. The main attraction and dish of the said festival is pancakes. Therefore, our pupils have been trying to learn to make pancakes, instead of cookies. The pancakes came out delicious and a lot like crunchy waffles. While making pancakes, we discussed the seasons, customs of the Shrovetide and learned the cheer: “Winter, Winter, leave already!”
