  • CIBERBULLYING

As you might know, cyberbullying is when a person, thorough social media:

Twitter, Tiktok, Whatsapp or other apps, abuses psychologically to someone. There can be different types of acts of cyberbullying, as it might be: insults through messages, posting photos of someone that the person doesn't want to be seen, criticism within posts.

These acts make the victim feels despised, lower, and above all, affects their self-esteem, which can cause psychological disorders.

In our class we have been working on bullying and cyberbullying. How to identify if you or someone has been suffering and how to deal with each situation, to know what we can do or acte in each situation..

The activities had helped us to identify, empathize and deal with different situations following activities such as: videos of real situations, posters, or others.

First of all, we watched different  videos related to real situations about cyberbullying and bullying. After we watched the videos, the teachers gave us some activities with

questions about  the videos, for example: Explain a little bit what the video is about ? What would you have done if you were in the same situation as the bullied person? ... ”

Those activities helped us to get into the skin of the defendants and know what to do in a situation like this, in the activity we could see a little clearer situations that can happen from bullying and also cyberbullying.

Finally, we believe that  it is important to talk about this topic from a young age, because you have to know the consequences of these acts.  Cyberbullying is not a good thing and when a kid gets older, has to know that he/she doesn't have to use it against someone for hurting them. In this way, it is important to promote  talks or activities in high school and check that teens don’t have these initiatives to feel better and to hurt someone.
