    “National birds”

    This is educational and enjoyable Erasmus+ project “Birds have to fly!” online activity for 2 students and 2 teachers from each country (Croatia, Latvia, Spain, and Slovenia).

    Benefit: pupils/students develop their competences in speaking and listening, and at the same time practice English with their partners from four European schools.


    Pupils and students from all partnership school looked for interesting, useful and less known information about national birds: Stork in Croatia and Slovenia, White Wagtail in Latvia and Lammergeier in Spain.

    After that, they made a quiz, which consists of 10 questions and answers. 

    Aim: Stimulating and motivating project activity helps pupils to increase confidence. The cross-curricular approach helps pupils to develop their competences in speaking and listening, and at the same time practice English with their partners.

    A teacher from Spain asks 10 questions (related to national birds), and wait response from partners (Latvian, Slovenian and Croatian students).  Who knows the correct answer:  1) show his/her card and after that 2) say the correct answer. Mainly, we give our students the opportunity to talk, but if they don’t know the answer- 3) teachers can help and answer instead of them. If no one knows, the Spanish teacher will say the correct answer.
