  •      After the short-term joint staff training event in Latvia, each of partnership school made bird feeders or cages in their countries, and started to observe birds, the most common in surrounding of each partnership country. We (teachers from Jaunjelagava Secondary school) also involved smaller children' parents in helping them to make bird feeders. The bird feedres were placed on the school ground and near the other homes and gardens to observed local birds. Aim: to learn what birds need to survive and what is the diet of the local birds.
We organized workshops in Jaunjelgava Secondary school, Osnovna skola Brsadin, Colegio Escuelas Pías Santa Engracia in Zaragoza, OSNOVNA SKOLA FRANCA LESNIKA,  and involved our students, so they know how to make the useful and proper bird feeders and cages, also they were informed about necessity to do it.
In December, January, February and March participants observed birds and  birds’ feeders and cages in Jaunjelgava surrounding, moreover students have taken plenty nice photos, and do other useful activities connected to project "Birds have to fly!"
Expected result was reached: new, useful knowledge about bird feeders.
