About us: Donji Miholjac is a small town and municipality in the Croatian region of Slavonia, near the river Drava and the border with Hungary.
In the 2011 census, there were 9,491 inhabitants in the area, and 95% of the population were Croats.
Industrial zone "Janjevci" is one of the largest surface areain Croatia, located in the southeastern part of the townalong the road D.Miholjac - Osijek.
Donji Miholjac is a small town, but it has a good geographical position because it is very close to the bigger citites in the region such as Osijek which is also one of the largest cities in Croatia.
In the center of the town there is a complex of two castles named by the Mailáth family. Older, single-storey mansion, is one of the first major buildings in Donji Miholjac, built in 1818 for the nobleman's family Prandau. The building was built in the late Baroque style, and was the first to be covered in tiles. There are two lounges, fourteen rooms, severalkitchens and pantry. The construction of the new castle started in 1903 after the Emperor Franz Joseph visited Donji Miholjac. The count Ladislav Mailath bulit it in the English Tudor style, which abounds with numerous projections,towers, mansard windows, but also large terraces and balconies. The building has 50 rooms with usable area ofapproximately 3500 square meters.

FEW WORDS ABOUT OUR SCHOOL:
"Donji Miholjac" High School was officially registered on 12 November 1992, and since then it acts as the legal successor of the Secondary School "Braća Ribar".
Our school educates students in a regular four-year and three-year programs and it also carries out the adult education in two educational sectors in three occupations.
The educational sectors are:
- Grammar school
- Economy, trade and business administration
-Agriculture, food and veterinary
- Mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and metallurgy
