Biscotopia an ecological village

Once upon a time there was a small village in the middle of mountains and near a big lake. The name of which was “Skoupidistar” (rubbish star) because of the chaos of the rubbish that this village had formed. All were in grey shapes and the smell was awful!!! It was a really ugly village and the pupils that lived there became ugly and uglier as time passed! Of course, that happened because the people did not know about recycling   and for that reason they were living among rubbishand dirt. (Keli, John, Stratos,  Stauroula,Maria)

So, the children of “Skoupidistar” learned about the benefits of recycling at School and understood that it would be a solution to their problems!! (John, Aspasia, Christos, Katerina)

And one day those young citizens decided to act and made a conference in order to make a plan for the salvation of their village. They exchanged many ideas mostly about how they could find new materials to reconstruct the ugly buildings. After a democratic dialogue they invited all the people to follow and persuaded them to recycle. “We have so many materials but we do not use them as it should be, so let’s think better” it was one of the best ides told. The children did not stop there… they started to share messages about the importance of recycling and the way it could help the world to look better!!! (Katerina, Maria, Sofia, Konstantinos, Mohament, Vasiliki )

Unfortunately, there were some bad people that did not want to think well and tried to destroy the positive efforts. They even thought about using a weapon that was made of hate and misery. (Andreas, Stefanos, Panos, Evangelos). Everybody was so sad and the idea of recycling and a better future for “Skoupidistar” was in great danger now!!!

The children once more used their creative thinking! They joined all the good forces, invented and created a weapon made of biscuits and love! They put inside all the power to destroy the hate and in that way no one else could fight against them. (Nikos, Andreas, Aggelos, Aspasia, Andriana, Konstantinos, Katerina, Andriana).

It was a matter of time and the village changed view incredibly! New recyclable material had been used and many more sweets and biscuits as well. A nice smell covered all around the area. After a few months all the houses acquired a beautiful shape, a delicious look and the village of course changed its name. (Konstantinos, Andreas, Ioannis, Dimitra, Georgia, Sofia, Nikolaos, John).

The brand-new name of the village was “Biscotopia” and all the citizens felt really proud of themselves. With cooperative spirit and good collaboration, a better world is possible to be achieved!! The news traveled quickly and soon many tourists started to visit the new wonderful village!!! Thanks to recycling everything was transformed. (Christiana, Marilia, Daphne,  Anargyros, Jojn. Christos, Stelios, Giannis).

And they all lived happily to “Biscotopia” altogether and sent a hopeful message for the future of our world!!! (Artemis, Melina, Kostantinos, Iris, Stylianos, Annie,Stavroula, Artemis, Nikos).

The story was written in the frame-work of the eTwinning project activity during the Fine Arts subject lessons. Authors were the pupils of grade 4 under the supervision of the Art Teacher Theodora Chandrinou who did the text translation from Greek to English and the digital achieve for the presentation of the story.

Biscotopia un village écologique

Il était une fois,  un petit village était situé au milieu des montagnes et tout près d'un grand lac. Dénommé «Skoupidistar» (étoile à ordures) à cause du désastre  des ordures autour  ce village. Toutes  les ordures avaient une couleur grisâtre et l'odeur était horrible !!! C'était un village vraiment laid à cause de cette poubelle et les enfants qui y vivaient sont devenus moches et encore plus laids au fil du temps! Bien sûr, cela s'est produit parce que les gens ne connaissaient pas le recyclage et, pour cette raison, ils vivaient dans la saleté. (Keli, John, Stratos, Stauroula, Maria)

Toutefois, les enfants de «Skoupidistar» vont à l’école et apprennent  les avantages du recyclage et comprennent que ce serait une solution à leurs problèmes !! (John, Aspasia, Christos, Katerina)

Un jour, ces jeunes citoyens ont décidé d'agir et de faire une réunion avec tous les villageois  afin de faire un plan pour le salut de leur village. Pendant cette rencontre, ils ont échangé de nombreuses idées, principalement sur la façon de trouver de nouveaux matériaux pour rendre leur village aussi beau qu’autrefois  . Après une longue délibération, ils ont invité tous les gens à les suivre et les ont persuadés de recourir au recyclage. "Nous avons tellement de matériaux mais nous ne les utilisons pas comme il se doit, alors réfléchissons pour une bonne exploitation", a déclaré l'un des meilleurs intervenants. Les enfants ne se sont pas arrêtés là… ils ont commencé à partager des messages un peu partout pour montrer  l'importance du recyclage et la façon dont il pourrait aider le monde à mieux paraître !!! (Katerina, Maria, Sofia, Konstantinos, Mohament, Vasiliki)

Malheureusement, certains avaient peur du changement et ont essayé de détruire tous les efforts positifs. Ils ont même pensé à utiliser une arme faite de haine et de misère. (Andreas, Stefanos, Panos, Evangelos). Tout le monde était tellement triste parce que l'idée du recyclage et d'un avenir meilleur pour «Skoupidistar» était en grand danger maintenant !!!

Une fois de plus, les enfants ont réfléchi et ils ont uni toutes les forces positives, et ils ont inventé et créé une arme … une arme faite de biscuits et d'amour! Ils ont mis à l'intérieur tout le pouvoir de détruire la haine et de cette façon, personne d'autre ne pouvait résister. (Nikos, Andreas, Aggelos, Aspasia, Andriana, Konstantinos, Katerina, Andriana).

C'était une question de temps et le village a complètement changé le paysage d’une façon incroyablement! De nouveaux matériaux recyclables ont été utilisés ainsi que de nombreux bonbons et biscuits. Une odeur agréable couvrait toute la zone. Après quelques mois, toutes les maisons ont acquis une belle forme, un aspect agréable et le village a bien sûr changé de nom. (Konstantinos, Andreas, Ioannis, Dimitra, Géorgie, Sofia, Nikolaos, John).

Le nom flambant neuf du village était «Biscotopie» et tous les citoyens se sentaient vraiment fiers d'eux-mêmes. Avec un esprit coopératif et une bonne collaboration, un monde meilleur est possible à réaliser !! Les nouvelles ont voyagé rapidement et bientôt de nombreux touristes ont commencé à visiter le nouveau merveilleux village !!! Grâce au recyclage, tout a été transformé. (Christiana, Marilia, Daphne, Anargyros, Jojn. Christos, Stelios, Giannis).

Et ils ont tous vécu heureux dans la «Biscotopie» et ont envoyé un message plein d'espoir et d’amour pour un avenir meilleur de notre monde !!! (Artemis, Melina, Kostantinos, Iris, Stylianos, Annie, Stavroula, Artemis, Nikos).
