In a final attempt to cure themselves , a glacier, a forest and a river are going to a psychiatrist to complain about people’s indifference that is driving them insane. The river goes in first…

Doctor: Hello! Lie down please and tell me what’s troubling you.
River:Doctor, no matter how often I shower I always feel filthy because factories and industries throw their chemical waste in me.
Doctor:Mmmmm go on….
River:I also feel sad because I can’t provide for my children, the animals that live in and around me. I feel responsible because they don’t have a good quality of life or they die. What should I do doctor?
Doctor:Well for a start , you shouldn’t blame yourself. It’s all people’s fault because they don’t respect you.
River:Yes and they don’t enjoy a walk along my banks because they are full of rubbish. Will you give me a medicine for the depression I feel?
Doctor:I can give you some filters for the factories and rubbish bins to put along your banks. If those don’t help I am afraid people will get what they deserve.
River:Thank you doctor.I feel better already.

Glacier:Good morning doctor!
Doctor:Lie down and tell me what seems to be the problem.
Glacier:I’d rather lie down in the tub because I am melting and I don’t want to make a mess.
Doctor:Don’t worry..I’ll mop the floor afterwards.
Glacier:I am desperate because the earth’s temperature is rising and I am afraid that in a few years I will disappear. Moreover I feel helpless since polar bears depend on me to find food and survive.
Doctor:People care only about themselves and they don’t realise how much they harm you. They will be drowned in your waters if you melt.
Glacier:Should I take a pill for my condition?
Doctor:I will give you a prescription with stricter laws for those who use too much electricity, don’t use public transport and cause global warming.
Glacier:Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this will work , otherwise……

Forest:Hello doctor!
Doctor:Watch out or you will slip on the glacier’s waters.
Forest:Well doctor, I feel threatened as people are cutting down my trees and set fires. You see , they want my wood to make houses and furniture and also they want land to build their properties. I feel hopeless because my animals won’t have a home anymore.
Doctor:Enough is enough with those people. They have driven you all crazy. But still, there is hope! Children are the future of our planet.
Forest:What do you mean by that?
Doctor:Teachers can show them ways to help you all and they , in their turn , can make their parents change their attitude towards nature. I am afraid that’s the only cure….
