ROBOTICS AND AI/TEAM6/

  • Petroupoli's students

Petroupoli's students had worked on the concepts of Robotics and AI

    A) During the carantine in online sessions with the teacher and as homework. These are the activities described in our eclass:

Working during our online sessions during the lockdown

and B)  in a class session when we were back in May (21 May)

    Productions of Petroupoli's class:

    1. Presentation of Robotics and AI

2a) A Timeline based on the presentation we used in May in a live session:

2b. A timeline for AI in Greek created as a homework during the carantine in our e-class based in the source of http://photodentro.edu.gr/v/item/ds/8521/10694 and created in a shared google drive according to teacher's guidelines (Link for the google folder our class has shared)

2c) Students' answers about the future of Robotics and AI (homework in e-class)

    3. "Coding" in an online session(4 May) in webex-the greek ministry's platform for the online sessions-guidance of a robot:

    4. Taking part in the challenge in eTwinning Group "Cretive Classroom" : Write a poem for World Environment day 2020, post it in padlet , pick a poem posted from another class and be creative on it"

We have worked in this project on microcontrollers and climate so we have a little help from the machine to write our poems...our challenge is different and it is based on Touring's quote about machines that are capable to write poetry which will be more appreciated by other machines. Will AI alter the way we create,  approach and "understand" art? Out test here, proved that our teamwork was needed to edit the machine generated poems and make them meaningful...Indeed, the machine created poems followed the algorithms but...they can be appreciated only by the machines :)

(The Poems are  written by the C3 class when we were back from schools lockdown and they are posted in this page-please click here- )

    Pioneer Middle School's Students

We designed a STEM activity whose slogan “Together to have a better Internet” using the microcontroller micro:bit. In fact, we coded a Robot with three sensors for line fellower and one sensor for obstacle detector.

The obtacles are chosen according to the slogan.
In fact, when the robot detectes that there is a VIRUS or HACKER or SPYING, it stops with making a sound.

    Activity’s Schedule

    1) Preparing the macket with the different objects:

    2) Coding the micro:bit: students write the different needed blocks and functions using the micro:bit simulator.
