    A well-known character of Albanian fairy tales is the doll called Kokokashta. This doll was created for me 30 years ago and is now part of my daughter's toy and one of her favorites

    Ukrainian traditional toys are simple. In the old times they were made of cloth, thread, ropes and so on. Krystyna and Daryna were responsible for preparing materials for this page. They have chosen these pictures to share with you:

    1) Doll "Motanka". It is called so because it is mostly made of thread of different colours and some cloth. Kids, usually, girls played with it but  it was also a sign of protection that mother tried to pass her children.
