International meeting (C1)

  • The first meeting was held on November 7th till November 9th 2018 in Narva Kreenholmi Gümnaasium, Estonia. It involved local external expert who contributed to the project quality. The meeting was linked to the aim about reinforced cooperation with partners from other countries and supported to increase the foreign language competence.

    Day 1. Getting acquainted. Since this was the first meeting for all partners it was important to get acquainted with each other. There are five partners in the project: Estonia (EST) is coordinating country, Norway (NOR), the Netherlands (NED), Slovenia (SLO) and Spain (ESP). In order to make a good team every country made a presentation about their school. Specifying questions were asked and answered.

    Working on the project. The common understanding of goals and project results was formed. Responsibilities between partners were detailed, activities were scheduled.

    Joint activities. During the international meeting joint cultural activities were organized that helped to build a successful work team. Participants had a tour in Narva Castle that is situated on the banks of Narva river, opposite Ivangorod fortress (Russia) made an unforgettable impression on everyone.

    Day 2. Working on the project. Local external expert Ljudmila Rozhdestvenskaya gave a Skype-seminar about STEM and STEAM projects in school with the focus on 5 future competencies that were chosen for the project. She also gave her opinion to activities that were planned for next meetings. Common form for study materials was suggested and discussed. It was decided that the form will include following information: type of material; subject; topic; list of general competencies developed during the lesson; links to digital study materials developed for the lesson; description of the lesson. 

    Day 3. Creating detailed activity plan with deadlines and partners’ responsibilities. Summarizing the first meeting. Students from Narva Kreenholmi Gümnaasium joined the meeting to interview participants and write a story for the school magazine.
