The senior high school of Thesprotiko is located in Thesprotiko, Preveza. There are 70 students and
15 educators working in it. Students are 15-18 years old and they attend humanitarian subjects,
maths and science. A special characteristic of the school is that it "hosts" students that come from
mountainous villages of the area and as a result they have great difficulty in both transportation from
and to the school and in having access to outdoor activities. Specifically, a rather big amount of
students shows a great educational need due to their living conditions. This means that our students
live in remote villages with few residents without particular access to new technologies. The only way out of this limited living is our school and the opportunities it provides to them. What satisfies us is the fact that these students are always willing to participate in school activities. Specifically the school :
-Has been a partner of the European paths E4/E6 of the Educational Environmental Center of
Maronia, Greece -Cooperates at a regular basis with various stakeholders such as local cultural
associations, Environmental centers, Geopark of Vikos – Aoos, ephorates of Antiquities of Ioannina
and Preveza.
-Coordinates the Erasmus+ project KA219 “European Path (e)Motion” with code
number 2017-1-EL01-KA219-03615
-Has participated twice in the Erasmus+ project KA1 “Together for Europe” in Poland -Participated in the Erasmus+ KA1 “Building a Contemporary, Inclusive, European Orientated School” with code number 2017-1-EL01-KA101-035575 The persons involved have the right skills and expertise. Specifically, an economics teacher, a religious teacher, a science teacher and an English language teacher take part in the program giving it a cross curricular dimension.
