  • TURKEY - ATATÜRK SECONDARY SCHOOL (UNYE)

Unye Atatürk Secondary School is located in the centre of Unye, which is the biggest town of Ordu.  It has 74 teachers and 913 students. There are 11 students with special needs in two different classes and also 13 inclusive students in ordinary classrooms. The age of the students is between 9 and 15.
The students come from families of different social backgrounds. Some come from one parent families and have social needs. Some have divorced parents and a few are orphans. They are keen on making friends with children from other countries. The fathers of many Turkish students go to big cities to make their living, which results in leaving kids with one parent.
We have a remarkable number of immigrants and refugees in our school and city. They can’t speak Turkish very well. We teach them Turkish.
It is a priority to develop a strong interest in the new European approach of learning/teaching for Anafarta Secondary School. It is involved in innovating its teaching, studying and learning processes developing its working organization according to the new digital learning methods and devices thus giving a prompt replay to the new demands globalization requires. Its qualified staff has a faithful vision on internationalization to warrant the projects quality. It favors the use of it in education by providing both teachers and students with all kinds of facilities to assure a profitable usability and accessibility of technology for teaching and learning. Teachers coordinate activities with stakeholders, such as homes, local enterprises and municipality.
Doing different international projects is important as it help our students to take experience from other nations, cultures and share their own ideas and experience
We completed a lot of Erasmus and E-twinning projects.
