    Studying abroad may be one of the most beneficial experiences for a  student. By studying abroad, students have the opportunity to study in a foreign nation and take in the allure and culture of a new land. Croatia strongly encourages various opportunities for students to experience international environment and expand their studying experience by being exposed to different cultures. Below are some links and tips:

    ASF

    The AFS exchange program is a program of non-formal education and intercultural learning. During the exchange program, the student is placed with the host family. During the exchange program, the student attends a public or private high school where classes are held in the language of the host country.

    There are three types of exchange programs: an annual school program, a three-month school program, and an intensive program. One can find information the countries of the ASF in which the individual exchange programs, application process and conditions are available. It is possible to obtain a scholarship during the exchange, intended for students of lower financial status. More about the ASF exchange program at the link: https://www.afs.hr/razmjena/Rotary

    Rotary clubs around the world organize one-year student exchanges, accommodating the students in host family. It is currently possible to choose between countries: USA, Canada, Taiwan, Brazil, Mexico, France, Finland. Candidates apply to the clubs no later than December 1st.     High school scholarships in the UK for 2nd grade students

    Evera year the Forum for Freedom of Education from Zagreb and The Headmasters ’and Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC) from Great Britain are announcing a competition for the selection of scholarship holders who will attend prestigious high schools in Great Britain.

    Database of competitions for scholarships and other forms of financial support for studies in Croatia and abroad. Through this database students can check the areas for which scholarships are awarded, the amount and number of scholarships and the procedure and deadlines for applications.

    Erasmus +

    The central part of the Erasmus + program is studying abroad, and it can be used by students at the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level. The duration of studying abroad is a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months (or 24 months for integrated studies such as medicine or architecture). Students who are enrolled in at least the second year of undergraduate study can apply. During the program, students are exempt from paying tuition, and grants are awarded to cover part of the cost of travel and living.
