In spring the Polish students from older groups explored the subject of the American Civil Rights Movement. First, they searched for the information online about racial discrimination, segregation, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. Next, working in pairs they created posts on a dedicated padlet board to collect all the information. Students were asked to talk about the tasks they were assigned in front of the group. Finally, we created a PREZI and saved is as a pdf to watch it here, on the TwinSpace.
MAY & JUNE 2019: THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT IN THE USA: WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT MARTIN LUTHER KING AND HIS LEGACY?
In May and June, we worked on making a presentation about Martin Luther King and his legacy. We surfed the Net to find out who he was. Also, we found photos showing him work - giving speeches and his quotes. We found out about Rosa Louise Parks, too, who was another fighter for freedom. We discussed their contribution to the civil rights movement and focused on racial discrimination and segregation, too. Here's a presentation with the information we collected:

At the end of our classes, students presented the collected information. Here are some photos from their presentations:
