Videoconferences

  • One of the most interesting activities in the project is the beautiful possibility that the students get in touch with students from around the world, when possible.

In this case, the first videoconference was on October 23rd, between Merida (Spain) and India. The students introduced themselves and questions were asked about their countries (gastronomy, sports , traditions, typical flowers...)
India is so different from us and so are
    we from them.

It was a great opportunity to get to know each other.

The second videoconference, 11th December 2018, was between Cyprus, Spain (Mérida and Madrid), and India. We dedicated it to tell our Christmas traditions and to sing carols from each country in their mother tongue. It was sensational.

We had another videoconference, on 12th of March , between the schools of Mérida (Spain) and Polokwane (South Africa). The students have performed amongst themselves and have sung a typical song of their country. Then, we asked questions about the number of students in each class, the hobbies of the students ... and more.

What was most important for us teachers was to give the possibility to our students to contact other students from another continent i.e. the ones that were our project partners.
