Activity 1: What makes me happy ?

  • Project Classes work on the topic of "happiness" in relation to "me"  

    Warm -up: What makes me happy?Students takes a photo or use a drawing of an item or activity that makes them happy. They share it on class boards to tell what makes them happy. (Teachers post drawings on the padlet wall below)

    Step 1: Pupils watch the video subtitled in their own language or the teachers explain it to them  (Videos: Shoes with Greek subtitles) [documentation: photos odf children watching the video]

    Step 2: Pupils answer the following questions in class in their native language

    (Natassa, Special Teacher suggests the following questions but teachers should feel free to add more questions )

    (α)What did I like about the story? Why?

    (b) Who was my favorite character? What was special about this character?

    (c) Which child was happy in the end?

    (d) Which child from the story would you spend time with if you could? Why?

    (e) Can you think of something similar that may have happened to you? Can you think of something you gave to somebody else and made them happy? Can you think of somebody who gave you something which was not bought and made you happy? Can you share your story with the class?

    To complete Step 2 pupils participate in a Mentimeter poll answering the question "What makes me happy?" The poll  is turned into cloud. Photos of classes doing the poll and other related stuff can be found on the page entitled Happiness Cloud 

    Project pupils work on the topic of Happiness in the PE class, too. Teacher who teach PE describe the process and its results in the dedicated TwinSpace page "Be happy at PE" (and subpages).

    Step 3: Project children draw their story (e) on a A4 size sheet of paper. Teachers take photos of all A4 sheets of paper and upload them in the Materials section/Images/ Folder (Activity 1:Drawings). Each drawing should be accompanied by a title and a short description that would answer the question "What makes me happy?" Deadline: January 25th

    All the drawings will be used for a collaborative eBook  (tool: padlet)  Deadline: February 1st
