MATH PHOTO CONTEST OBJECTIVES
The aim of this contest is to identify mathematical imagery in real life and in our environment.
Polygons, circles, different curves, parallel lines, secant lines, angles, geometric transformations, geometric bodies, statistical graphs, numerical expressions, mosaics, symmetries, proportions... can be reflected.
People can appear on the photos as long as they cannot be indentified, and the same with number plates, etc.
The images can be taken from Natural (flowers, leaves …),Architectural, Sculpture, Graphic Design, Craftwork, etc.
PARTICIPANTS should be all the students of the different schools participating in this project Erasmus+ “Maths route around Europe” and who take part in mobilities.
We expect a "one student one photo rule"
Photos must be originals and not downloaded from the Internet nor scanned from another image source
Photographic retouches which change the content of the photo are not permitted
assessment will be based upon originality, photo quality and technical quality of the image as well as the the mathematical content.
Photos promoting the cultural heritage of every city will be valued in a positive way.
Taking part in the contest implies an agreement to the rules and the jury’s decision.
SUBMISSION -The photos must be sent in the format .jpg to this email address: erasmusplusmaths@gmail.com. -
“PHOTOMATHS_COUNTRY OF MOBILITY” must appear in the “subject”. - As well as attaching the photo to the content of the email, The photo’s title and either its description or its comment (optional). - The photographer's name and surnames, and their country.
DELIVERY PERIOD The deadline for the delivery of the photographs will be ten days after each mobility, except for the last one, in which it will be the third day of the mobility.
