What does it imply to prepare a E+?

  • There're plenty of feeling, dificulties, materials what every coordinator, school have whan participates in a Erasmus+ project. Materials for example are not exposed in anywhere because it's considered they're not important but they have been a pilar for the develop of the project (Meetings, pdf,...). In this section you can read and see some of them.

For us, we consider that when you participate in a Erasmus+  project always advantages win to disadvantages. This is the reason because most people repeat. On word coming from your students telling you thanks is enough to everything deserves. Erasmus+ always wins.

This project is an incredible experience for most of people participating in it from my school. it changes their lives forever.

But If you reflect for a moment you take into account that everything wasn't easy. A happy project needs meetings with families, students, teachers in your school but also in this case project needs to be understood by other coordinators.

In our case, we were extremely happy and lucky because every coordinator undestood the importance of being participating in a Erasmus+ project and even they had the capactiy to disseminate properly what it was necessary in every school.

For us one of the most difficulties what we had was to select our students to participate in the project. Happily every time we have more students want to participate in this type of projects. Families and them understand the importance and the benefits it has. This is the reason because is super important to write a very clear criteria to select students.

Participating in this Erasmus project was really interesting but challenging at the same time.

Together students and teachers have developed their maths skills in a contextualized environment in order to validate them in their daily lives. Indeed that’s the way learning should be like so as to become more efficient.

The project did not rely only on mathematical content, though. Other values were also developed: tolerance, cooperation, solidarity and, above all, a sense of belonging to a much wider community – Europe. When we are together we feel we are no longer Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Croatian, Italian or even English. We are all Europeans and we realize that when we get to know other nationalities they are pretty much alike, with the same needs, the same feelings and desires.

Needless to say that the most serious challenge we had to overcome was the worldwide pandemic we face today, which prevented the project to be concluded as scheduled. Students were sad, teachers maybe even sadder … However, we kept optimistic and showed a lot of courage to fight against the virus. So, Poland here we go… It will be great!

Words like “great, incredible, unbelievable, awesome” are used by our students when referring to this experience but deep down we believe that “rewarding”, “enriching” and “unforgettable” are probably the ones that best describe it. Projects like this, though time consuming and demanding, should keep on happening as they are a valuable asset to those who participate in them.

    ITALY:

Each Erasmus + project is a great satisfaction for us. It requires a lot of work, but designing allows you to come up with new ideas, discuss them with colleagues from other countries and prepare something creative and original. The development of the activities introduces us to new countries, school systems and organizations different from ours and enriches us a lot, students and teachers. You meet people who become friends, even beyond the project, a European dimension develops in young people. Foreign languages receive a significant improvement.

In particular, this project has made it possible to develop a very important theme, mathematics "hidden" in the city, on which the school has been working for some time and on which it will continue with new enthusiasm.

Students and families responded with great interest, and a selection was required, based on academic achievement, linguistic and transversal skills and motivation.

Our project "Maths routes around Europe" has been definitely a bull's eye!

It took us to various corners of the old continent. During its duration, we had the opportunity to visit previously unknown places, get to know other cultures, and above all meet and make friends with other people. For us, it was also a chance to show foreign partners a piece of Poland. Students got willingly engaged in all project activities, they showed great creativity, ideas and inspiration. They prepared many activities on their own. They widened their horisons. Besides maths, they   learned many other key competences. This fact is very pleasing, because we teachers implement such project mainly for students. Also, the work and heart put in by the teachers themselves cannot be overestimated. The last year of the project turned out to be particularly difficult, when we were unable to organize a real mobility in Poland because of the lockdown. However, this time was used very effectively for the improvement of the project's products, creating new ones and virtual meetings of coordinators. I can dare to say that the decision to extend the project for one more year turned out to be very accurate. Apart from improving the project results, we organised the last mobility in Tuchów, Poland. We met again in an international group, we were together. People from different parts of  Europe, but how similar to each other.
The project taught us that nothing is impossible, that the difficulties we encounter on our way are to overcome. I am grateful to all the coordinators, supporting teachers, students and their families for the fantastic atmosphere, their  kindness and dedication. It gave us a lot of courage and faith in a better tomorrow.
I am convinced that all joint project activities and mobilities to the sixth countries will remain in our memory for a long time!

I can certainly say that it has been a great pleasure to take part in this project!
